# GetNetWage > GetNetWage answers "how much of my pay do I keep?" for any hourly wage or salary in all 50 US states and the District of Columbia. Each page shows take-home pay after 2026 federal income tax, Social Security, Medicare, state income tax and required state payroll contributions, computed from IRS, Social Security Administration and state revenue department tables retrieved September 26, 2026. Figures are estimates for a simple wage earner, not tax advice. How the main number is computed: gross pay is the hourly wage times 40 hours times 52 weeks (hours over 40 paid at 1.5 times), or the salary itself. From it come the annual federal income tax (2026 brackets after the $16,100 single standard deduction, IRS Revenue Procedure 2025-32), Social Security (6.2% of wages up to $184,500), Medicare (1.45%, plus 0.9% over $200,000 for single filers) and the state's income tax and payroll contributions. Pages assume a single filer with no dependents, credits or other income; local income taxes are not included. Example: $25 an hour in Texas is $52,000 a year before tax and $43,962 after tax ($1,691 every two weeks). Tax year 2026. 14 states had not published every 2026 amount when the data was gathered (Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Idaho, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, Wisconsin); those figures are carried forward or projected with the state's own indexing rule and marked on the sources page. The tables are refreshed every January when the IRS, SSA and states publish new figures; changes are logged at https://getnetwage.com/changelog/. ## Main pages - [GetNetWage home](https://getnetwage.com/): take-home pay for any wage in every state, with the most common wages, salaries and all 51 state calculators - [Paycheck calculator](https://getnetwage.com/calculator/): any wage or salary, state, filing status, pay frequency, pre-tax 401(k) and health premium - [Hourly to salary converter](https://getnetwage.com/convert/hourly-to-salary/): yearly, monthly and weekly pay for an hourly wage, before and after federal tax - [Salary to hourly converter](https://getnetwage.com/convert/salary-to-hourly/): the hourly rate of a salary at 30 to 60 hours a week - [Take-home pay badge](https://getnetwage.com/embed/): copy-and-paste HTML badge showing take-home pay for one wage and state ## Calculators and hubs - [Hourly wages after tax](https://getnetwage.com/hourly/): 141 wages from $7.25 to $150, yearly gross and take-home pay before state tax - [Salaries after tax](https://getnetwage.com/salary/): 281 salaries from $20,000 to $500,000, with the hourly rate and take-home pay - [Take-home pay by state](https://getnetwage.com/state/): state taxes and take-home pay on a $50,000 salary in all 50 states and DC - [Alabama paycheck calculator](https://getnetwage.com/state/alabama/): income tax rates from 2% to 5%;
